Alone, but never lonely,

in the sun, in the good company

of art, of water, of air,

surrounded by energy, by light.

Alone, but sheltered

by knowledge, by peace,

by teachers, by friends.

Alone, though going forward learning

from everyone, from everything.

Alone, night and stars around,

alone, with my soul, though,

alive and happy, a step at a time.
