In the Mirror

Image
Charred sequoia. King Canyon and Sequoia National Park, California, January 2018 What I once was made me be what I am now. What I once decided – the options I took – did shape up both the mind and the soul within which I live. What I once made – and probably still do – made me be present in a world I do not control. What I was, decided, made – everything I am – that is everything I wish on my way, on my path to peace.

Room

Hamburg (Germany), November 2014 Even in the most intense moments, even in the densest darkness there is always room to lighten the intensity, to lighten the darkness. Let the days shine bright always keeping room for a poem, for a song, for that special friend. In the faithful burnishing of days there is always room to keep moving forward content, conscient, unscathed on the way to paradise on earth.

Challenge

La Barceloneta, Barcelona (Spain) June 2018 Like water and earth, like fire and air, apprentice and master begin their dance. As the loyal apprentice you are, you follow the master in his steps eagerly soaking up the essence until it becomes your own nature. Such is the start of a poet’s way, learning to dare to play with ideas and words, to stop being a cold observer, to be and create enunciated art. In the complex dance of poet and linguist lexemes and semes leave way to imagery brilliant and rich. In the endless dance of humble words, enjoyable worlds are born from light among shadows.
