Ties

Image
Casa Batlló, Barcelona (Spain), August 2018 Ties so tight you strain. Love so deep you hurt. Tied by love, loved in ties. But true love doesn’t hurt, true love doesn’t tie, true love is not strained. True love is but a bond for eternity, a pledge for togetherness, a vow of being two but one, an oath of belonging, a plan to sail in the same winds, even in opposite directions. Love is no tie, love is a bond for lives, love ties us to life, though moving us along. Life is a loving bond; love is our bond, our vow, our oath, our pledge to live and leave a better world behind.

Thankfulness

Image
College San José de Caracciolos, University of Alcalá de Henares (Spain), November 2018 On a cold day in the Fall seeking sanctuary at home around a hearth so warm even though no fire burns there. Ashen landscape of cold gray shades all around reminding of things gone by of dreams unlived and left behind. A gaze at the ashes, a stare at life back and ahead, your soul poking at the ashes embers rekindling to fire again. A prayer, a grateful smile at being happy, being blessed by the warmth of the hearth, by the home you have found. Ashes, embers, gratitude, feelings that brighten your day, feelings that move you through life. Thank you for being there for me, thank you for guiding my soul, thank you for my dreams come true.

Night Air

Image
Night sky in La Pobla de Farnals (València, Spain), October 2016 Gazing at the sky, no stars to be seen, clouds shaping the night rain awaiting outside. A breeze brings in the smells of clean air, of budding life, of wet soil, of a promise made to just yourself. Gazing at the clouds in the night, slowly breathing as deep as it goes, you welcome a night of respite in the turmoil just before a change.
