The Mediterranean

Mediterranean Sea, Puçol (València, Spain), November 2020

My eyes closed,
floating on the sea.
Caressed by the waves,
the water muffles
the steady noise
outside and inside of myself.

My eyes closed,
weightless on the waves.
My body is taking a rest,
behind my eyelids
the eyes are playing
with the remnants of sunlight.

Master of my own destiny,
I let myself be carried
hands off the rudder.

Embraced by the sea,
at peace inside and outside,
I give in to the journey
toward an uncertain goal.

In the calm of the Mediterranean,
these easy days will take me
wherever it is my place
to be and just live
in happy fulfillment.
