Air

North Atlantic, somewhere between Greenland and Canada, September 2019

I used to fly alone
just for the fun of flying,
of soaring high up in the sky,
of contemplating the greenery
of forests unknown,
of feeling life evolving.
You came then into my life,
I learned to go with you,
to despise being alone;
I learned to love and share,
I lost myself in that special way
love let us be nothing but our bond.
Bond broken, alone again.
So much to relearn:
Learn again to rely
on my senses, my mind,
on my own heart and soul
to be able to find my way.
But you all, my Friends,
as one rallied around
to help me find again
the way up to the sky,
the way to fly unbound.
You made me find
again my way home,
again love beyond the pain:
helped me believe in myself
being all that is needed
to make my dreams be.
