It Is Time

Limburg an der Lahn, Germany, December 2014

Calmly radiating from your heart,
the peace you treasure there
heals silently the void
left when you lost love.
Time now to disregard material things,
time to rebuild the memories
of touch, smell, taste, sight,
time to reeducate your ears
so that they stop missing
a voice that will no longer comfort you.
Time to take advantage
of the many good things in you.
Time to nurture your soul
with everything that in the past
went with you, pushed you through
and now simply is no more.
It is time now,
the time to rebuild,
the time to firmly seize
your own energy,
to cast off any unease,
to pull calmly through,
to better your life.
Every single day of it.
