Far Away

Marjal dels Moros, Puçol (València, Spain), January 2021

Far, far, far away;
to start all over again
unknown, on my own.

To learn how to walk,
to learn how to breathe,
to learn just how to be.

Alone in my world;
alone, accounting for nothing;
alone, not damaging, nor hurting.

To gaze
at the light of days,
to get
the soft touch of air,
to enjoy
the sound of silence.

To carry on
without moving,
to fly
without leaving the ground,
to flow
with no feelings,
with no thoughts,
with no more hurt.
