Thirty Years

Mas La Plana, Santa Maria d'Oló (Barcelona, Spain), October 2017
Thirty years on the run,
with a piece of chalk in my hand,
with a book in front of my nose,
with words in my heart.
Giving back what I learned,
taking back what I came to know,
transforming a routine
into a passion for hoarding
–and gifting– knowledge.
Thirty years on the run,
with keyboard and screen on my desk,
with a text in front of my nose,
with words still in my heart.
Learning back what I gave,
knowing what I took,
changing a passion for words
into sowing seeds of curiosity
to harvest intelligence.

Thirty years playing with words,
learning at last to create beauty
painting with the colors of language,
letting feelings flow with ink
to fill paper to the brim
with feelings of life.
